The end of holidays

12.08.2013

Holidays almost finished and return of the Moto2 championship: it's time to reflect on the season so far.

In a few days the team Technomag-carXpert will commence their journey to America, more precisely to Indianapolis for the next round of the Moto2 World Championship. For this occasion Fred Corminboeuf, the Technomag-carXpert team manager, agreed to give us a summary of the first half of the season.

"The summer break gives a great opportunity to reflect on the beginning of the season for our riders but also the whole structure of the team. What seemed so far away this winter when we were in full preparation is now half way completed. Everything went by so quickly and I have to say that we are very happy with how everything has turned out for the Team so far. Today being 4th in the overall world championship classification shows both qualifies of our technical staff and strength of Dominique Aegerter. He is able to challenge the top riders and confirms his potential on every occasion. As for Randy Krummenacher, he also hasn't let us down since the beginning of the championship. He continues learning this new bike with professionalism and determination, which for us is fully satisfactory. We know that we made the right decision to take him on board and he confirms that race by race.

In Qatar there were many questions concerning the right strategy. Then we understood very quickly that we have to maintain a very good pace at work with Dominique, who has been "on it" from the very beginning. We were dreaming about our first podium without being able to determine when it was going to come. It took three 4th positions and some solid performance before we finally tasted the champagne in Assen. Our number 77 made an incredible race and to see him step up on that podium was a reward for everyone involved.

Concerning Randy, he hasn't been on the podium yet but he scored points four times in a row with his best performance being 6th position in Barcelona. The least I can say is that he works hard for these results and we might see him on the podium at some point as well.

With these results we would also like express our gratitude to everyone who has given us the chance to experience these incredible moments of this competition. We win together, we lose together. That's our motto. And that is why we associate our close partners with every success because they make it possible for us to participate in the world championship under the best conditions.

The season is still long and we are aware that we cannot rest on laurels. Our riders were allowed to take a short break in the summer but they were back in full preparation very soon. Randy had to undertake an operation on his two broken fingers sustained in warm-up during the last Grand Prix. Luckily, everything went well and followed with some rehabilitation he is back on top.

We are now fully focused on Indianapolis and the races that will follow. It's a great pleasure for us and we look forward to seeing you again in the next days of the return of the Moto2 championship."
