Swiss Robin Mulhauser to Grand Prix in 2014
While the 2013 Moto2 world championship season is not over yet, this weekend in Japan and then in two weeks in Valencia (Spain) the teams will still be in action, season 2014 has already started for the Swiss Team Technomag-carXpert that is going to face a new challenge: " We have decided to part company with Randy Krummenacher," explains the team manager Frédéric Corminboeuf. "We will stay on excellent terms with him and we really hope that Randy can make a comeback and race in Valencia (the young rider from Zurich was forced to miss the three overseas rounds as a result of him serious concussion suffered in a free practice during the British Grand Prix). Even though the season did not go to plan due to his accident, we are nevertheless grateful to Randy and his partners for their excellent work throughout the season. It was a great adventure for all of us and we wish Randy all the best in his career in the future." In 2014 the team will present alongside Dominique Aegerter, who currently lies fifth in the overall world championship classification, 22-year-old Robin Mulhauser from Fribourg, who finished seventh in the European Superstock 600 championship this season (with one podium). He will replace Randy Krummenacher.
Last September, Robin Mulhauser participated in a one-day test, together with Adrien Pittet and Stéphane Frossard, with the objective to experience the Suter MMX2 on the circuit of Castellet; and two weeks later, due to the unexpected absence of Randy Krummenacher, Mulhauser got the opportunity to experience the Grand Prix. "He finished 23rd and impressed many observers. From our perspective, he impressed mainly by his professional and calm attitude while facing such a new challenge," says Frédéric Corminboeuf, and adds: "His performance and potential that he has demonstrated persuaded us to join forces with him for the upcoming seasons."
