Aegerter (13th) very disappointed, Krummenacher a few thousands from Top-15

25.08.2013

The day was difficult for Dominique Aegerter on the circuit of Brno. After an impressive start that took him into 4th place for a while and subsequently into 3rd, the Team Technomag-carXpert rider then begun to lose places in this battle to eventually finish thirteenth. With this result, where he scored world championship points for the 26th time in a row, joining in this statistics two "giants", Spaniard Sito Pons and Italian Massimiliano "Max" Biaggi. Dominique loses one position in the overall championship standings to Finn Mika Kallio, today's race winner. Aegerter's team mate Randy Krummenacher had a more positive day than the final result suggests when he finished very close from the championship points in 16th position.

Dominique Aegerter (13th): "I had a really good start but after four or five laps I realised that the group in the front was simply too fast to follow for me. I tried everything but without success. I was not capable of defending attacks on brakes from my rivals and was also not able to resist them in the corners. I gave it everything and my disappointment is as big as all my pointless efforts today."

Randy Krummenacher (16th): "My hand injured in the warm-up before the German Grand Prix is doing much better. This impression did not perhaps translate into the final race result today as I lost my final battle with Toni Elias for the last world championship point that was at stake. But this weekend still assured me that I can look forward to Silverstone."
