Another solid result by the first rider of the Team Technomag-carXpert, Dominique Aegerter, who finished fifth in the Grand Prix of Czech Republic in Brno after a long battle with his countryman Thomas Lüthi. Today, he could take a deep breath because him, his manager Dr Robert Siegrist and the team owner Fred Corminboeuf signed, this Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, a contract extending his collaboration with the Swiss team for another year in the Moto2 World Championship. Dominique's team mate Robin Mulhauser from Fribourg was very unlucky today: he crashed this morning in warm-up due to a mistake by Mika Kallio from Finland and he crashed again in the race in an accident caused by a wild card rider Miroslav Popov. Mulhauser rejoined the race and finished thirtieth.

Dominique Aegerter (5th): "I had a good start but Rabat and Kallio set a really high pace. I tried to hold on to them but it was impossible. Then Lüthi overtook me and our pace wasn't the best for a while; that was when Viñales and Simón closed the gap behind us. In the final two laps we were faster again and I did everything I could to get the fourth position but I never found room for an overtake. I realised already in qualifying that we were lacking a little something here and we now have to work to fix this problem."

Robin Mulhauser (30th): "I did not have much luck today. In warm-up it was Kallio who struck me and in the race, after a good start, a rider who crashed just in front of me ruined all my efforts. Unfortunately, the group I wanted to fight with did not wait for me. Then I caught Popov and when I was about to overtake him from the outside, he did something and we both went down. It was such a pity even though I was able to pick up the bike and finish the race."
